Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Perform routine resident checks and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality
- Support mobility and safe transfers to promote independence and fall prevention
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that enhances resident well-being
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification
- Eligible to work in New Hampshire (and Vermont as noted in title) or able to obtain state eligibility
- Comfortable working a 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM evening shift
- Reliable, professional, and committed to resident-centered care
- Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding, background checks, and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved LNA training program and current LNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with basic patient care and personal care tasks
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Awareness of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced care setting
