Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care to Mercy LIFE participants
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform timely assessments and document clinical findings clearly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists
- Maintain infection control standards and follow respirator/fit-test protocols
- Support a positive, respectful environment that prioritizes participant dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered LPN license (appropriate state authorization required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Ability to pass Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Successful completion of background checks and license/certificate verification
- Must complete required personal health screenings: respirator fit test, Trinity respirator evaluation, 10-panel drug screen
- Current immunizations or acceptable titers: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, and annual influenza vaccine
- Comfort working flexible per diem schedule including weekends and evenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program or equivalent diploma/certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with participants, families, and team members
- Solid documentation habits and familiarity with clinical checklists
- Infection prevention and PPE/respiratory protection knowledge
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
- Adaptability to changing assignments and facility-specific procedures
