Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department to ensure smooth, patient-centered care
• Lead, mentor, and inspire therapy staff (PT, OT, SLP, and assistants) to achieve clinical excellence
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations to protect patients and the program
• Manage productivity, scheduling, and staffing efficiency to optimize clinical operations
• Collaborate with facility leadership to drive quality patient outcomes and program improvements
• Monitor documentation, billing accuracy, and clinical performance metrics to maintain high standards
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention initiatives to build a strong, stable team

Qualifications

• Licensed PT, OT, or SLP — required (active, unrestricted license)
• Previous Director of Rehabilitation or rehab leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of skilled nursing facility and rehab operations and compliance standards
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience overseeing documentation, billing accuracy, and performance metrics is a plus

Education

• Licensed PT, OT, or SLP (required). Specific degree not specified in the job posting
