Shift Type: 50/50 hospital and clinic schedule; primarily weekday day shifts (standard business hours) with 1 weeknight phone on-call per week (rarely required to come in) and a weekend rotation of 1:5 — weekend daytime inpatient rounding supported by APPs and phone-based nights (in-house night cardiologist covers most overnights). Rotating/on-call responsibilities required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality non-invasive cardiology care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform and interpret echocardiography and nuclear cardiology studies
• Diagnose and manage a full range of cardiovascular conditions
• Perform procedures such as pacemaker insertion and support peripheral interventions and venous laser ablations as needed
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, technologists, and the cardiac rehabilitation team to deliver coordinated, team-based care
• Participate in the on-call rotation and weekend inpatient rounding as scheduled
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered outcomes

Qualifications

• Fellowship trained in cardiology (Non-Invasive Cardiology focus preferred)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in New York
• Comfortable providing care in both inpatient and outpatient environments
• Ability to perform pacemaker insertion and non-invasive cardiac procedures
• Experience working collaboratively with APPs and interdisciplinary teams
• Open to H-1B visa candidates; J-1 waivers cannot be accepted
• Not accepting Locum tenens candidates

Education

• MD or DO degree
• Cardiology fellowship training (Non-Invasive Cardiology)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in non-invasive cardiology clinical evaluation and management
• Proficiency in echocardiography and nuclear stress testing
• Experience with pacemaker procedures and familiarity with peripheral interventions
• Skilled communicator who thrives in team-based care models
• Comfort with hospital-based workflows and outpatient clinic efficiency
• Familiarity with RVU/quality incentive program structures and collaborative pool models
