Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients of all ages with empathy and clinical excellence
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly using the EPIC EMR system
- Collaborate closely with a dynamic, physician-led care team and advanced practice providers to deliver team-based care
- Participate in a light phone-only on-call rotation supported by RN triage
- Deliver telemedicine visits on designated weekends as scheduled
- Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students and NP/PA students, helping shape the next generation
- Support quality initiatives, compliance, and maintenance of required certifications and licensure
- Optionally contribute to hospital medicine or administrative leadership projects if interested
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Family Medicine — current and active board certification required (candidates with lapsed certification will not be considered)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.; this role does not offer visa sponsorship
- Willingness to maintain required state licensure and clinical certifications for practice in New York
- Comfortable using EPIC EMR for patient documentation and charting
- Experience in outpatient primary care and a commitment to team-based care
- Ability to participate in phone on-call coverage and occasional telemedicine weekend hours
- Interest in teaching and collaborating with APPs and learners
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent) with completion of Family Medicine training
- Current Board Certification in Family Medicine (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong primary care clinical skills across the lifespan in Family Medicine
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and electronic documentation workflows
- Telemedicine delivery and virtual patient communication skills
- Excellent patient documentation and organizational skills
- Team-based care collaboration including working with RN triage and APPs
- Teaching and mentorship aptitude for medical and NP/PA students
- Comfort with light administrative duties and potential leadership opportunities
