Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care, serving a medically underserved community
- Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds and fetal monitoring (NST/CST/FSE) to guide clinical decisions
- Manage deliveries including routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, C-sections, breech and multiple births
- Care for complicated obstetric cases including abruptions, VBACs and management of high-risk pregnancies
- Perform office and minor gynecologic procedures (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP, cystoscopy) and major operative gynecology (ectopic surgery, oophorectomy, cystectomy)
- Repair third- and fourth-degree lacerations and manage operative obstetric complications
- Collaborate with APPs, RNs and support staff to deliver coordinated patient-centered care
- Document care accurately in the EMR (current Cerner with planned conversion to Epic) and participate in quality and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Board certified or Board eligible in OB/GYN in the United States (provider MUST be BC/BE)
- Open to new graduates who are Board Eligible within 5 years of residency but must plan to complete board certification prior to start
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; not accepting visa candidates
- No locum tenens candidates; permanent placement only
- Clean malpractice history preferred; cannot accept candidates with malpractice cases in probate or requiring supervision
- Clinical experience or strong training in inpatient L&D, fetal monitoring, C-section and operative gynecology
- Comfort with outpatient gynecology procedures and minor office surgery
- Ability to work collaboratively with Federally Qualified Health Center partners and serve medically underserved populations
Education
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency
- Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN (US)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE) and continuous fetal monitoring
- Skilled in OB ultrasound performance and interpretation
- Proven ability in surgical obstetrics including cesarean delivery and operative management
- Competence in vaginal deliveries, low forceps and repair of severe perineal lacerations
- Experience with laparoscopic diagnostic procedures and minor gynecologic surgery
- Familiarity with Cerner and readiness for Epic conversion
- Strong clinical judgment, clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced L&D settings
