Shift Type: Full-time daytime in-house rounding with scheduled overnight home call (on-call nights); day and night coverage as needed

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for newborns requiring Level II NICU support
- Attend high-risk deliveries and C-section deliveries to support newborn stabilization
- Cover a 12-bed newborn nursery, including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable
- Round in-house during the day to coordinate patient care and clinical plans
- Take overnight call from home and respond promptly for urgent neonatal needs
- Collaborate with nurses and allied health staff to deliver coordinated, family-centered care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and care coordination efforts to advance outcomes
- Support newborn resuscitation and stabilization when required
Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology (as advertised: Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist)
- Experience providing Level II NICU care and newborn stabilization
- Comfort and competence attending high-risk and C-section deliveries
- Proven experience rounding in-house and providing newborn nursery coverage
- Willingness to take scheduled overnight home call
- Not accepting Locum Tenens candidates (per job posting)
Education
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of pediatric/neonatal training
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in neonatal intensive care and Level II NICU management
- Skilled in newborn resuscitation and stabilization
- Experience with inpatient newborn care and well-baby management
- Ability to provide delivery and resuscitation support, including C-sections
- Strong care coordination, team collaboration and quality improvement focus
- Comfort with in-house rounding workflows and on-call responsiveness
