Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary care to patients via telemedicine, delivering diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up with empathy and clinical excellence
• Conduct thorough virtual visits, including history taking, remote exam techniques, and evidence-based decision making
• Manage a panel of patients, prioritize care needs, and coordinate referrals when necessary
• Document encounters clearly and promptly in the electronic health record to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Prescribe medications appropriately and manage chronic conditions through remote monitoring and patient education
• Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to streamline patient workflows and improve access
• Engage patients in preventive care and health maintenance through tailored counseling
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and help refine telemedicine best practices

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain by start date
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• DEA registration or ability to obtain
• Experience with telemedicine or interest in delivering remote care; prior telehealth experience is a plus
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or able to obtain
• Strong communication skills and comfort with virtual patient interactions

Education

• MD or DO degree
• Residency completion in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with telemedicine platforms and virtual exam techniques
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and documenting care digitally
• Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning in a remote setting
• Strong patient communication and education skills for virtual encounters
• Time management and caseload prioritization for back-to-back telehealth visits
• Familiarity with chronic disease management and preventive care protocols
