Shift Type: Days, 12-hour shifts (typical day shift; exact start/end times vary), every other weekend, floats between L&D/PP/Mother-Baby as needed, guaranteed ~36 hours/week

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based labor, delivery and postpartum care in LDRP rooms
- Monitor fetal status using GE EFM and OBIX and respond to fetal heart rate changes
- Administer and titrate Pitocin and other obstetric drips safely and per protocol
- Circulate in the OR for C-sections and collaborate closely with surgical teams
- Perform couplet care and seamless transitions between mother and baby needs
- Document care accurately in EPIC and participate in unit- specific orientation
- Serve as a reliable team member who can float across L&D, PP and Mother-Baby when needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Kansas or compact eligible) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; LDRP/Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Comfortable circulating in the OR and providing couplet care
Education
- Active RN licensure; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal monitoring skills including GE EFM and OBIX systems
- Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and newborn assessment
- Pitocin titration and management of obstetric drips
- Couplet care principles and mother-baby bonding support
- Ability to function in a Level 3 trauma-aware obstetric setting
- Clear communication, teamwork and the ability to float across units
- Familiarity with AWHONN ratio guidelines and unit staffing practices
- Comfortable working with a single OR suite on-unit for C-sections
