Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based med/surg and post-op oncology nursing care to patients
• Titrate and manage IV drips (heparin, lidocaine, TPN) safely and per protocol
• Monitor patients on central telemetry and promptly act on clinical changes
• Accurately document care in EPIC and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Serve as charge nurse or house supervisor when assigned and coordinate patient flow
• Deliver patient-centered care with attention to timeliness and detailed documentation
• Complete unit-specific orientation and pass the required competency assessment during orientation (90% pass threshold)

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to work in Nebraska)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Med/Surg or Oncology preferred)
• BLS (AHA) required
• Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal (used to confirm radius rule)
• Comfort and experience with EPIC charting
• Demonstrated ability to titrate drips and manage infusion therapies
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to accurate documentation
• Oncology certification is a plus but not required

Education

• BSN not required; active RN license and required certifications (BLS) expected

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC electronic charting
• Telemetry/central monitoring recognition and response
• IV drip titration and infusion management (heparin, lidocaine, TPN)
• Strong clinical assessment and patient-centered care techniques
• Ability to work efficient 12-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
• Clear verbal and written communication with interdisciplinary teams
