Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients and determine priority of care using sound clinical judgment
• Perform focused assessments of chief complaints in a timely, guideline-driven manner
• Provide safe, effective direct patient care including medication administration
• Manage wounds, lines, tubes and drains and assist with procedures as needed
• Document patient care accurately and communicate key findings to providers
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support patient safety and infection control, including proper biohazard handling
• Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care that respects cultural and psychosocial needs

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — aligned with the position title
• Experience or comfort working in an emergency department environment with rapid assessments
• Proven ability to administer medications safely and follow medication administration protocols
• Strong communication skills for effective provider and patient/family interactions
• Demonstrated ability to document clearly and maintain concise patient records

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and focused patient assessment skills
• Medication administration and adherence to the Five Medication Rights
• Wound care and line/tube/drain management
• Ability to assist with procedures and patient transfers
• Infection control and safe handling of biohazardous materials
• Age-appropriate care across the lifespan
• Calm, decisive emergency response and prioritization
