Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule is self-scheduled with manager oversight and may include weekends and holidays as needed (typically 36 hours/week guaranteed)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and stabilize emergency patients across the lifespan — from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Deliver prompt, evidence-based emergency and trauma care using ACLS/PALS/TNCC principles
- Interpret telemetry and cardiac strips and act on critical changes in rhythm or status
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, paramedics, and support staff to coordinate rapid, high-quality care
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in MEDITECH
- Support unit operations and step in for charge duties as needed, always prioritizing patient safety
- Participate in unit orientation and continuous improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (per facility/state requirements); License to submit is accepted
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (ER or acute care experience preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry and cardiac strips confidently
- Comfort working in a Critical Access Hospital / Level 4 trauma environment
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to patient satisfaction
Education
- BSN not required (facility indicates BSN Required: No); meet RN education and state licensure requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing fundamentals and trauma care
- Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Triage principles for rapid assessment and prioritization
- Proficiency with MEDITECH charting and documentation workflows
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptability in a fast-paced ER setting with varied patient presentations
