Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an RN on the unit
• Perform timely assessments and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
• Deliver evidence-based interventions for trauma and stroke patients using TNCC and NIHSS guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in competency and skills checklists
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and providers to support positive outcomes
• Participate in required testing and compliance activities to keep the unit running safely

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred or willing to obtain
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Compliance with required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Tdap, influenza, TB screening or IGRA, varicella)
• Ability to pass drug screen, fit test, and other pre-employment health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong acute care nursing skills with attention to safety and quality
• Familiarity with trauma protocols and emergency interventions
• Proficiency in stroke assessment using NIHSS
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in fast-paced settings
• Comfortable with competency-based testing and skills validation
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
