Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients and prioritize patient safety at every step
• Continuously assess and monitor hemodynamics, ventilator parameters, and neurologic status, escalating changes promptly
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced therapies in accordance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and complete the Trinity Skills Checklist to maintain proficiency
• Support unit throughput by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining high standards of care
• Mentor team members when appropriate and contribute to a positive, patient-focused unit culture

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (must meet facility requirements) and successful License/Certificate Verification
• BLS and ACLS required — come prepared to lead during high-stakes moments
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required as listed in the order
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing, Trinity skills checklist, fit test, and a 10-panel drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations as required: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced ICU environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing skills including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency with advanced cardiac life support and rapid response procedures
• Skilled in neuro assessment (NIHSS) and trauma-related nursing skills (TNCC)
• Excellent communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
• Accurate clinical documentation and comfort with electronic medical records
• Ability to learn and demonstrate Trinity-specific competencies and checklists
