Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing with attention to accuracy and patient comfort
• Analyze sleep study data and provide clear, clinically useful documentation
• Operate and troubleshoot Cadwell (and other) sleep system equipment during studies
• Collaborate with the clinical director (MD/PhD/DO) and the care team to support diagnostic and therapeutic decisions
• Apply associated interventions and patient monitoring while prioritizing safety
• Maintain timely, professional documentation and data entry to support patient care and billing accuracy
• Educate patients and families about sleep study procedures and any necessary follow-up

Qualifications

• Associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography OR completion of a polysomnography program (minimum one year) OR equivalent experience and documented proficiency
• Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS (meets American Heart Association standards) — must renew every two years
• Experience working night shifts and ability to work 12-hour blocks
• Cadwell sleep program experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, patient-focused mindset, and ability to work under general supervision

Education

• Associate degree in polysomnography OR completion of a polysomnography program of at least one year OR equivalent experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Polysomnographic testing and polysomnographic analysis
• Familiarity with Cadwell sleep software and equipment
• Electrode placement (EEG, EOG, EMG) and physiologic monitoring
• Ability to recognize and respond to patient needs and safety issues
• Accurate clinical documentation and data management
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary setting
