Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating day/evening/night shifts, mix of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours/week. Typical day shift Mon-Fri 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM (4x10). Coverage window includes 06:30 AM - 11:30 PM. Weekday call M-F 09:00 PM - 06:30 AM. Weekend call Sat-Sun split 06:30 AM - 07:00 PM and 07:00 PM - 06:30 AM. Shift type: rotating (day and night).
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures
- Circulate and support surgical teams in orthopedic, neurosurgery, spine, and general surgery cases
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure patient safety
- Respond effectively to trauma and high-acuity situations in a Level 1 trauma OR
- Support sterilization, instrumentation, and equipment setup for diverse surgical specialties
- Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- 2 years of OR RN experience
- Experience at a Level 1 trauma center (preferred and highly valued)
- Familiarity with EPIC for charting and documentation
- BCLS certification (as listed in requirements)
- Comfort working across many surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, spine, general, and trauma
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong operating room skills including circulating and perioperative nursing
- Experience with orthopedic, neurosurgery, spine, and general surgery cases
- Familiarity with ENT, urology (GU), plastics, burns, and robotic procedures
- Comfort managing trauma cases and rapid clinical decision-making
- Proficient use of EPIC for documentation and communication
- Ability to float to different units and adapt to varied workflows
