Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve daily living and work-related skills
• Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and case management to create cohesive rehab plans
• Train patients and caregivers in adaptive techniques, assistive devices and home safety
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans to maximize patient independence and quality of life
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise

Qualifications

• Current, active Occupational Therapy license in California (required)
• OTR or equivalent certification recognized in the state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (preferred/required per facility policy)
• Comfort working day shifts with coverage that includes weekends as scheduled
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills and collaborative mindset

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s in OT or OTD preferred; entry-level OT degrees accepted per facility requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Familiarity with rehabilitation protocols for post-acute and contract rehab populations
• Excellent clinical documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) skills
• Ability to educate patients, families and care teams in an approachable way
• Time management and caseload prioritization to deliver high-quality care
