Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Day (may include rotating weekends, approximately one shift per month)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adults with complex speech, language and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehab setting
- Perform and interpret MBS studies and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based dysphagia interventions including VitalStim and other device-assisted therapies
- Document all assessments and treatment plans accurately and timely in the EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care and discharge planning
- Educate patients, families and caregivers to support safe swallowing and functional communication
Qualifications
- Current VA state license (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with experience treating adult and medical populations
- Experience in inpatient rehab settings preferred
- Familiarity with MBS studies and dysphagia assessment/treatment
- Comfortable using EMR systems and providing clear clinical documentation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in swallowing assessment and treatment
- Experience with MBS Suite, VitalStim, IOPI, EMST150 and Bioness BITs
- Ability to manage a patient caseload in an inpatient rehab environment
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
- Patient-focused approach with flexibility to float to acute areas as needed
- Good time management and accurate EMR documentation skills
