Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized OT treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve function and independence
• Help patients regain skills for activities of daily living (ADLs) with compassion and creativity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Document progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely in the charting system
• Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive strategies
• Advocate for patient needs and assist with discharge planning when appropriate

Qualifications

• Valid California Occupational Therapy license required or eligible to obtain
• OTR credential (preferred) or equivalent clinical certification
• Clinical experience in occupational therapy settings preferred (acute, rehab, outpatient or home health)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
• Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by facility

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessing ADLs, mobility, cognition, and functional needs
• Proficient in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Experience with documentation and basic electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to adapt interventions to varied patient populations and levels of function
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and patient/family education skills
