Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Circulate confidently across GYN, ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, General and Vascular surgical specialties
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to coordinate seamless patient care
• Provide physical and emotional support to patients and families throughout the surgical experience
• Maintain accurate documentation in MediTech and ensure compliance with hospital policies
• Uphold patient safety and infection control standards during all phases of care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room (OR) experience
• Active Arkansas RN license or Compact RN license (Nursys must show Active Arkansas/AR or Compact)
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
• Proven ability to circulate across GYN, ENT, Urology, Ortho, General and Vascular cases
• MediTech EMR experience required
• Experience with all patient populations
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Current skills checklist (pertinent to Operating Room) within the last year

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) and active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid command of the nursing process and perioperative nursing best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, intraoperative support and patient advocacy
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with circulating workflows across multiple surgical specialties
• Proficiency with MediTech EMR and clinical documentation
• Comfort working in a Trauma Level III environment with a 1:1 RN to patient ratio when required
