Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures in the Cath Lab with precision and care
• Assist physicians during procedures and apply independent judgment when selecting technical factors
• Ensure safe use of ionizing radiation; follow radiation safety protocols at all times
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures clearly in the EMR
• Prepare and maintain imaging equipment; troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Provide compassionate patient care and education before, during, and after procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience (required)
• Active ARRT certification (required)
• Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Active American Heart Association ACLS (required)
• Completed skills checklist (current to 1 year) and 2 supervisory references with employment dates (required)
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and name check (applicants within 50 miles are not eligible)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures and Cath Lab workflows
• Experience with use of ionizing radiation and radiation safety practices
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR for documentation and charting
• Competence in sterile technique and procedural setup
• Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively
