Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct client services including individual and group counseling focused on substance use recovery
• Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions across residential and outpatient settings
• Conduct intake assessments, treatment planning, and progress documentation in a timely manner
• Coordinate care as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of services
• Facilitate psychoeducational and skills-building groups that support recovery goals
• Monitor client safety and participate in crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain accurate records and comply with program, legal, and confidentiality requirements
• Support family engagement and provide referrals to community resources when appropriate

Qualifications

• Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor Level I (CADC I) or National Certification Addiction Counselor I (NCAC I) required
• CADC II or NCAC II (or higher) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
• Experience with substance use treatment and behavioral health services
• Comfortable using computer applications for documentation and communication
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Pre-employment/post-offer drug screen required prior to start

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Substance use counseling and recovery-focused interventions
• Trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices
• Experience in both residential and outpatient treatment settings
• Strong documentation and assessment skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Cultural competency and client-centered communication
• Basic computer literacy for electronic records and reporting
