Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality emergency care: triage, assess, and stabilize patients across all ages
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following protocol
• Use critical thinking to prioritize care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments and interventions in the EHR
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills validation to maintain excellence
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate explanations and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification (license/certificate verification required)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (current and verifiable)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19) and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Comfort working in fast-paced emergency settings and performing trauma/acute interventions

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with ACLS/PALS protocols and stroke assessment (NIHSS)
• Trauma-focused skills and TNCC knowledge
• Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation in electronic health records
• Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining patient safety and empathy
