Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and communicate concerns to the care team
- Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the facility charting system
- Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive, resident-focused environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in good standing (state authorization to practice required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working evening and overnight hours
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection control principles
- Vital signs assessment and recognizing clinical changes
- Charting and electronic health record familiarity
- Patient-centered communication and family engagement
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
