Roles & Responsibilities

• Support diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing equipment and assisting the interventional team
• Assist with PCI, EP, cardiac device implants, and structural heart procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Monitor and document patient hemodynamics and procedural data during cases
• Sterile setup and instrument handling to maintain a safe, infection-controlled environment
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and techs to anticipate needs and keep cases moving smoothly
• Participate in competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high clinical standards
• Respond to call and weekend coverage professionally and reliably to support continuous cath lab operations

Qualifications

• Current state license/certification as required for Cath Lab Tech practice and verification prior to start
• BLS certification (required)
• Proven experience in diagnostic cardiac catheterization, PCI, EP, cardiac devices, and familiarity with structural heart procedures
• Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of onboarding
• Willingness to complete required health screenings and immunizations (Fit Test, COVID-19 vaccine, TB test, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, drug screen)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced interventional environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cath lab instrumentation, sterile technique, and procedural workflow
• Skill with patient monitoring, hemodynamic measurement, and documentation
• Familiarity with electrophysiology (EP) procedures and device implant protocols
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and assist with device preparation
• Comfort working in high-acuity settings and responding calmly during emergent situations
• Good interpersonal skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
