Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate medical-surgical nursing care during 12-hour shifts
• Monitor patients using telemetry and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Previous medical-surgical nursing experience only (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• BLS / BCLS certification (required)
• Telemetry experience (preferred)
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and every other weekend
• Flu vaccine mandated by the State of Maine (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical assessment skills and familiarity with med-surg conditions
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Proficiency in ACLS and BLS protocols
• Experience with medication administration and IV management
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced interdisciplinary team
