Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care for geriatric and swing-bed patients on an acute care unit
• Perform advanced wound care assessments and treatments with precision and clinical judgment
• Continuously monitor telemetry and promptly intervene for arrhythmias or changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Deliver a concierge-level patient experience tailored to an affluent community
• Assist with minor procedures on the unit and maintain unit equipment and supplies
• Mentor and communicate effectively with unit staff to promote a cohesive team environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible or compact) and current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience — telemetry, med/surg, geriatric or inpatient rehab (swing-bed) experience preferred
• Advanced wound care experience required — comfortable performing assessments and treatments
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
• ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
• Comfort working in a small-unit environment (24 beds) with limited ancillary staffing

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; equivalent nursing credential with RN licensure acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Expert wound assessment and dressing selection techniques
• Solid med/surg clinical judgment and care prioritization
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation and electronic charting workflows
• Excellent communication, patient education, and bedside manner
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with swing-bed/inpatient rehab care processes and discharge planning
