Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the inpatient rehab unit
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, PICC, and PEG tube care safely and accurately
- Perform specialized procedures such as bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley care, and blood administration
- Document assessments and interventions thoroughly in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapy plus physicians and neuropsychology to drive patient functional improvements
- Monitor and escalate changes in patient condition to the care team promptly
- Support unit workflow, including floating to other Med Surg departments when needed
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by teaching, coaching, and advocating for patient goals
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Med/Surg or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with medication administration including IVs and IV pumps
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- Rehab experience preferred
- Comfort with blood administration, trach care, tube feeding, and bladder care
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour day shifts and cover every-other-weekend
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Virginia)

- Medication administration and IV therapy best practices

- Trach care and airway safety procedures
- Bladder scanning and Foley catheter management
- Blood administration protocols and monitoring
- Proficient documentation in Meditech
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Time management and prioritization in a 12-hour shift environment
