Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to facility policy
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs and report changes to the care team
• Provide compassionate daily care and support to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Document care and observations clearly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to implement individualized care plans
• Assist with wound care, IV support as trained, and other nursing tasks within LPN scope
• Educate residents and families about care plans and provide emotional support

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN license (eligible to practice in Alabama)
• BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or similar preferred
• Immunizations and TB screening up to facility policy and able to pass background check
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Available for the full assignment dates and rotation pattern

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment, vital sign interpretation and basic clinical judgment
• Wound care fundamentals and infection control procedures
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and charting
• Strong time management, prioritization and teamwork skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with residents and families
