Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams on the Siemens 1.5T unit with attention to image quality and patient comfort
- Float to CT and X‑ray as needed to provide consistent coverage across modalities
- Prepare for and administer contrast media safely and competently, including starting peripheral IVs
- Follow radiation safety and isolation precautions at all times to protect patients and staff
- Accurately document procedures and patient care in Epic
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for ER and outpatient populations
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend call coverage to support continuous patient care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and contribute to a positive, educational workplace culture
Qualifications
- Required certifications: BLS, ARMRIT, ARRT (MR and R) — MRI, CT and X‑ray certifications are required to qualify
- ARRT CT is preferred (nice-to-have) to support CT float coverage
- 0 years experience accepted — first-timers are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Pending licenses are not accepted; active/clear credentials required
- Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required to operate provided vehicle
Education
- Required: Relevant certifications (ARMRIT, ARRT MR, ARRT R) and BLS
- Preferred: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (where applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Siemens 1.5T MRI operation and protocols
- CT and X‑ray competency (Philips X‑ray familiarity a plus)
- Preparation and administration of contrast media
- Peripheral IV starts and vascular access basics
- Radiation safety principles
- Experience caring for ER/trauma and adult outpatient/acute care patients
- Proficiency with Epic charting
- Special imaging knowledge: MR pulmonary, MR angio, T1‑weighted imaging, abdomen/pelvis, neuro and musculoskeletal protocols
