Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents on your unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform routine assessments and monitor patient conditions, reporting changes promptly
• Document care clearly and thoroughly in the patient record
• Collaborate with RN team members, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (able to practice in New Mexico)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience a plus

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care and basic nursing procedures
• Electronic medical record (EMR) charting familiarity
• Effective patient/family education and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
