Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on orthopedic patient care, assist with assessments and follow clinicians’ treatment plans
• Fabricate, fit and adjust splints and orthoses with attention to comfort and function
• Assist with patient mobility and adaptive equipment fitting to improve daily independence
• Document all care and progress accurately and timely in EPIC
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, device care, and injury prevention
• Collaborate with PT/OT and the multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain equipment, ensure clinic supplies are ready, and follow infection control practices
• Be prepared to float to nearby Tarzana or Mission Hills on a rare occasion when needed

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required — must be active and in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in orthopedic or outpatient clinical settings
• Comfortable using EPIC for charting and documentation
• Outpatient experience required; experience with splinting and orthotic tasks preferred
• Able and willing to float occasionally to Tarzana or Mission Hills as needed
• Pending state license NOT accepted — must have active licensure where required
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthopedic principles, splinting, and assistive device fitting
• Proficient with EPIC charting and clear clinical documentation
• Strong patient education and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in an outpatient clinic setting and manage a varied caseload
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with therapists and physicians
• Attention to detail for fabrication, fitting and patient safety
