Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Day); 5x8 day shifts with required occasional weekend coverage and floating between outpatient, acute care and SNF as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients of all ages across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings with thorough evaluations
- Design and implement individualized plans of care using evidence-based interventions
- Perform AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, pain and vital sign assessments to monitor progress
- Provide skilled gait training, transfer and mobility training, and wheelchair assessments
- Deliver specialty care including wound care, lymphedema management and pelvic floor training as indicated
- Use appropriate modalities (E-stim, TENS, ultrasound, traction, diathermy, cryotherapy/moist heat) to support rehabilitation
- Document evaluations, plans of care, reassessments and discharges accurately in Epic
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety and injury prevention
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams and float within scope to meet facility needs
- Maintain timely and compliant billing documentation for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers
Qualifications
- Active Alaska Physical Therapist license (AK license required)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical physical therapy experience
- Charting experience in Epic is required
- First-time travel clinicians are welcome
- Pending licenses are not accepted; must have final licensure
- Candidate permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- Comfortable floating across outpatient, acute care and SNF settings
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment: AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain, strength and vital signs
- Skilled in gait training, transfers, Hoyer lift operation and wheelchair assessment
- Experience with cardiopulmonary, orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics and sports medicine populations
- Modalities knowledge: E-stim, TENS, ultrasound, diathermy, iontophoresis, cervical and lumbar traction, cryotherapy and moist heat
- Wound care and lymphedema management experience
- Strong documentation skills (evaluation, POC, reassessments, discharge) and billing familiarity (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial)
- Excellent patient/family education and home exercise program design
- Comfortable with adaptive devices, assistive devices and identifying environmental barriers
