Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor Med-Surg patients, providing safe, compassionate nursing care throughout your shift
• Perform wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients, applying best practices to promote healing
• Document patient status and interventions accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Operate and manage common unit equipment such as hoyer lifts, air taps, and wound vacs safely
• Educate patients and families about care plans, wound care, and discharge instructions
• Escalate clinical changes promptly and participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible to practice in Colorado)
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience (Med-Surg experience preferred and noted)
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR and common acute care workflows
• Experience or interest in wound care and burn/flap patient management is a plus
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, and strong communication skills for fast-paced unit work

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med-Surg clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
• Familiarity with wound care techniques and use of wound vacs
• Comfort using Meditech electronic medical record
• Safe patient handling experience (Hoyer lifts)
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain patient ratios
