Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough evaluations and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and evidence-based interventions to improve patient function
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the facility’s records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and recovery expectations
• Monitor outcomes and adjust plans of care to maximize patient independence and safety
• Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and professional standards

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in New Mexico, or ability to obtain licensure in NM
• Clinical experience in outpatient/contract settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid professional credentials and willingness to comply with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent professional degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical assessment, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training
• Comfortable using common modalities and assistive devices
• Proficient documentation practices and basic familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
• Compassionate patient education and strong teamwork abilities
