Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve mobility, strength and function
• Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care and outcomes tracking
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and rehab team members to optimize patient recovery
• Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention and safe mobility
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives at the facility

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Maine or eligible for Maine licensure
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in outpatient or contract rehab settings is a strong plus
• Strong clinical reasoning and hands-on manual therapy skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; master or other relevant degree considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthopedic and neurological rehab principles
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and functional mobility training
• Comfortable with patient assessment, goal setting and progress measurement
• Knowledge of safety, infection control and documentation standards
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
• Strong time management and organizational skills
