Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on evening and overnight shifts
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Document care clearly in the medical record and support continuity of care
- Assist with admissions, discharges and transitions while prioritizing patient comfort
- Collaborate with nursing peers to maintain a safe, efficient, and supportive unit
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in West Virginia or compact license as applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Clinical experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on night shift
- Reliable, professional, and able to adapt to the pace of a travel assignment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/lpn program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Vital signs monitoring and clinical assessment skills
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in urgent situations
- Teamwork, empathy, and excellent patient/customer service skills
