Shift Type: Multiple 12-hour night options: 3 days/week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights), every third weekend; 3 days/week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour, rotating), every fourth weekend; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; WEP nights Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments using history, physical exam and diagnostic data to shape individualized care plans
- Collaborate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to set meaningful, achievable care goals
- Provide clear pre- and post-operative and dialysis education to patients and families to promote safe recoveries
- Deliver compassionate, reliable nursing care for neurology and oncology patients in the dialysis setting
- Mentor and precept new associates to build a confident and skilled nursing team
- Engage in hospital governance and performance improvement initiatives to elevate patient outcomes and unit practice
- Document assessments, interventions and patient education clearly and timely to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
- Current RN licensure in Iowa or a compact state (required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
- Multicultural sensitivity and commitment to providing respectful, patient-centered care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and development of nursing diagnoses
- Experienced with care planning and implementing individualized interventions
- Strong patient and family education skills, including pre/post-op and dialysis-related teaching
- Mentoring and precepting experience to support new staff development
- Familiarity with hospital governance and performance improvement processes
- Clinical exposure or interest in neurology, oncology and dialysis care
- BLS competency and commitment to patient safety
