Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care for assigned patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to dysrhythmias
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (Meditech Expanse experience a plus)
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning to support recovery and reduce readmissions

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical experience (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (must be uploaded at profile submission)
• NIHSS certification (must be uploaded at profile submission)
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Traveler requirements: agency Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) must be uploaded for agency submissions
• Traveler must have their own vehicle and include permanent address in profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Strong medical-surgical assessment and clinical judgment
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse (highly preferred)
• Proficient medication administration and IV skills
• Clear, concise clinical documentation and charting
• Effective teamwork, communication and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to follow policies for orientation, time-off and scheduling requirements
