Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, direct nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document resident responses
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Assist with care planning and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Support resident mobility, activities of daily living, and promote dignity and independence
- Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and safety measures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident records and follow facility policies
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — MA licensure preferred
- OR active RN license if applying as a Registered Nurse (Class indicates LPN|RN)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation environment
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork-first attitude
- Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or accredited nursing program (RN)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing fundamentals and medication administration
- Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation nursing practices
- Ability to assess resident condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Proficient documentation and charting skills
- Good time management and organization during shift work
- Interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
