Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, maintaining dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
- Perform timely and thorough documentation in the chart/EMR to ensure continuity of care
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team
- Assist with wound care, mobility support, and activities of daily living as appropriate
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality improvement and resident safety
- Participate in care planning and resident-family communication to promote positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts LPN license for Licensed Practical Nurse roles
- Valid Massachusetts RN license for Registered Nurse roles
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Able to pass facility-required background checks and screenings
Education
- LPN: Diploma/Certificate in Practical Nursing (or equivalent)
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Resident assessment and recognizing changes in condition
- Familiarity with long-term care or rehabilitation nursing workflows
- Clear communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Proper infection control and safety procedures
- Basic EMR/charting proficiency
