Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
• Assess and monitor patient status, documenting changes and escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity
• Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate, timely charting to ensure continuity of care across shifts

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in Massachusetts (or compact/state license appropriate for assignment)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred for RN applicants
• Recent long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a resident-centered approach
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings

Education

• LPN: Completed Practical Nursing program required
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for RN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with medication administration, wound care, and IV/PO protocols as applicable
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
• Comfortable working independently overnight and making sound clinical decisions
• Compassionate bedside manner and experience supporting geriatric populations
