Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents during the assigned night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to plan
- Monitor and document resident conditions, vital signs, and changes in status
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Ensure accurate, timely charting and handoff communication at shift change
- Support resident comfort, safety, and dignity overnight, including responding to urgent needs
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license (active) — Massachusetts licensure preferred
- Clinical experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing is a plus
- BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements
- Strong communication skills and a resident-centered approach
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing assessments
- Familiarity with long-term care/rehab nursing best practices
- Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting
- Ability to prioritize and respond effectively during overnight clinical situations
- Teamwork, empathy, and clear communication with residents and families
