Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the chart
• Monitor resident status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers with professionalism and attention to detail
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
• Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary rounds, and shift handoffs to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in Massachusetts (required)
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable working night shifts and communicating clearly with patients and team members
• Valid TB test and immunizations per facility policy (or willingness to comply)
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program (diploma, certificate, or associate degree as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration, basic wound care, and routine assessments
• Proficient with electronic charting and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and clinical teams
• Familiarity with long-term care or rehab nursing best practices is a plus
