Shift Type: Monday-Friday (4x8 schedule with one weekday off), 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Day shift (30-minute unpaid lunch). Weekdays only — no weekends or on-call
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain and document vital signs, height/weight, pulse oximetry and basic screenings accurately
- Room patients, record history, medications and allergies, and prepare charts for provider visits
- Perform specimen collection and labeling (capillary, throat, urine, wound) and point-of-care testing
- Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy with attention to safety and specimen integrity
- Administer immunizations (intradermal and intramuscular) and routine injections per protocol
- Obtain 12-lead EKGs and assist with basic office procedures and sterile set ups
- Provide wound care and suture removal as needed, and assist with dressing changes
- Schedule appointments, manage authorizations and verify insurance to keep clinic flow smooth
- Handle pharmacy calls, refill requests and follow-up phone communications with patients
- Chart visits in the EHR (EPIC experience preferred) and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications
- MA-C (Medical Assistant Certified) required
- Minimum 6 months (0.5 year) experience in adult and/or pediatric outpatient clinic — family practice experience required
- BLS preferred
- CMA certification preferred
- EPIC charting experience preferred but not required
- Must be punctual and have scheduling/transportation arrangements resolved prior to start
- Interview required before offer and open to conversion to permanent if offered
Education
- MA-C (Medical Assistant Certified)
Knowledge & Skills
- Vital signs, hearing/vision screening and basic patient assessments
- Specimen collection, venipuncture and phlebotomy skills
- Immunizations (intradermal and intramuscular) and injection technique
- 12-lead EKG acquisition and basic interpretation workflow
- Wound care and suture removal
- TB test administration and a variety of point-of-care tests (glucometer, strep, pregnancy, UA)
- Charting and EHR navigation (EPIC preferred)
- Scheduling, insurance verification and authorization processes
- Strong communication for patient education and follow-up calls
