Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and create compassionate, individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately
• Monitor and document patient status using clear, timely charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient care
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and well-being
• Perform skilled nursing tasks like wound care, IV therapy, and symptom management
• Champion infection control, safety protocols, and best-practice standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of New Mexico or compact RN licensure eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts in a fast-paced care environment
• Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate well with teammates and bring positive energy to the unit

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and care planning
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear documentation
• Wound care and pressure injury prevention knowledge
• Infection prevention best practices
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time management
• Excellent patient/family education and bedside manner
• Teamwork and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings
