Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to residents and patients at Casa De Oro Center
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility protocols
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the EMR
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes with attention to detail and patient comfort
• Mentor and support nursing assistants and colleagues to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico licensure preferred (compact/multistate license acceptable where applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or available per facility policy
• Experience in long-term care, med-surg, or post-acute settings is a plus
• Comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment
• Vaccination and health screening per facility requirements (as applicable)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — facility preferences may vary

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) charting
• Basic IV therapy and wound care techniques
• Infection control and patient safety best practices
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
