Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents of the Casa De Oro Center
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families in a supportive, respectful manner
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - ability to practice in New Mexico required
• Current BLS certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
• Professional, patient-focused attitude with good communication skills
• Comfortable with electronic charting and timely documentation
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is preferred but not required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and monitoring
• Wound care and restorative nursing principles
• Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Infection control and safety best practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and staff
