Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and seniors across the facility
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders and facility policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions in clear, respectful terms
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control standards and facility protocols
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care to help patients move smoothly through their care journey

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Previous LPN experience preferred; Travel LPN experience a plus
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Comfort with 12+ hour day shifts and working scheduled weekends
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and a team-player attitude
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements including health screening and background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in vital signs assessment, wound care, and basic clinical procedures
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic computer systems
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement
