Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary draws for patients of all ages
- Ensure correct patient identification and specimen labeling before collection
- Process, handle, and prepare specimens according to protocol and chain-of-custody requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of workspace and adhere to infection control procedures
- Complete Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as required
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
- Document procedures and specimen details accurately in the assigned system or logs
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient specimen transport and testing workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomist (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- DCI/BVP certification (required)
- Ability to complete Prime competency and specialty exams and skills checklist
- License/certificate verification as part of onboarding
- Must be available to work January-February and able to start the required week with no exceptions
- Successful completion of required health screenings and clear background verification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven phlebotomy technique and venipuncture skills
- Strong attention to detail and specimen labeling accuracy
- Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and complete competency exams
- Good patient communication and bedside manner
- Ability to perform routine compliance screenings (drug screen, fit test, TB testing, etc.)
